Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I am so delighted to write to all of you again. You are loved by the Lord. I am confident that the Lord loves all of you and he has a wonderful plan for you. I want to thank all of you for being faithful in serving the Lord. The Lord will never forget what you have done for God’s people; and he is rewarding you, not only in heaven, but also on this earth. I would like to remind all of you to continue to pray for all the victims among hurricane Harvey, Irma, Maria, and the earthquake that demolished Mexico. They need our prayers and our hands.
Isaiah says, “So, do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
I believe God saved us, not only for your salvation, but for our whole family. Let us make a commitment to pray for others. Let us live a life worthy of the gospel so that they will see Christ in us. The Lord desires for them to be saved from sin, bondage, chains, sickness, curses and the eternal lake of fire. Let us pray by faith and live as the salt and light before them.
Remember that love never fails. No matter how many times they hurt or disappoint you, you decide to forgive them, remember their mistakes no more and bless them. When they see the love of Christ in you, they will open their heart to the gospel. Let us believe together that all shall be saved one day.
In October, we celebrate World Communion Sunday, Laity Sunday, and Halloween. On World Communion Sunday, Christians of all denominations around the globe are gathered in their own churches and share one bread and one cup in celebration of our Oneness in Christ. We are in different denominations, yet we all confess one God, we all find God incarnate in Jesus Christ, and we all believe the Holy Spirit is present with us, especially in the act of Holy Communion, which we all celebrate.
In November, we will celebrate All Saints day and the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will also have our Hwy 85 Circuit Group Charge Conference at First United Methodist Church of Platteville on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:00 pm. I know that we are doing God’s will and God is very pleased with us. Let us continue to build Christ’s church and spread the knowledge of the glory of our Lord and grace all over the world.
