Grace and Peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

I give thanks to God every day for you: for your faithfulness to Christ’s mission in the world, for your love and care of one another, for the strong church home you provide for the people of Eaton, for the grace you show each other and the world through the ministries of the church.
We are in a new era, a new age, a new time, a new ministry, a new approach, and a new beginning. God is calling us to move out and start something new. Isaiah says, “We are called not to remember the former things, or consider the things of old because I am the God of HOPE is about to do a new thing.” Isaiah 43:18-19

God is doing something new in our lives and in our time. Everywhere we look - it seems that God is starting something new. After 18 years following around my husband’s ministry serving the Lord in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah; God calls me to join you here in Eaton. I’m so excited to work and partner with you in ministry.

God enjoys a fresh start. God rejoices when His people work together “Starting Something New.” Eaton United Methodist Church has a glorious history and worthy past. If we spend too much of our time looking back instead of forward we will find ourselves like the one in Jesus’ parable who took hold of the plough looking back and failed to plough a straight row.

As your Pastor I would like to challenge you to start something new in ministry. I ask you to continue praying with me for our ministry to neighbors and those who are on the margins. I know it is hard to practice fasting but if you are able to join me I would appreciate your support. I have been praying every day and practicing fasting on every Wednesdays; and I have been doing it for more than 30 years, and I affirm it helps in life and ministry.

Today, we are called to start something new. We are called to serve Christ. We are called to be a blessing to Eaton. We are called to reach out and build relationships - engaging with each other and in community embracing healing and connecting among all people.

We are called to start something new: “Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” May God bless us and guide us as we continue ministry together.
